About the 2019 Academy

Join us in Indianapolis, Indiana from July 22 - 25, 2019 for a journey through the Head Start grant cycle: how to build a strong foundation with effective program planning, setting goals and uniting your team to meet them, bring your data to life, and be inspired to adapt for improvement.

This peer-learning environment will bring together Head Start practitioners from across the country to break down what it takes to align your program services with your five-year grant, develop leadership skills that support all staff and their professional development, and use data to tell your program’s story.

The program is developed by NHSA staff in collaboration with outside experts. Under the direction of skilled moderators, the Academy will feature a wide range of presenters with expertise in areas of strategic importance to Head Start.
