This month, we are celebrating policy councils and policy committees. Head Start parents are building programs to better serve all of its children. To all of those tens of millions of parents over the decades who have embraced Head Start and Early Head Start, we salute you!

The original framers of Head Start, Dr. Robert Cook and Dr. Edward Ziegler, put family engagement into the original Head Start Act and it has really made the difference in our programs, from lifting up our families to making Head Start stronger.
