Parent Gauge Partners with ParentPowered Public Benefit Corporation

Washington, D.C. – Parent Gauge, the leading family engagement assessment tool designed specifically for Head Start and Early Head Start programs, is proud to announce a groundbreaking partnership with ParentPowered Public Benefit Corporation, the home of Ready4K Trauma-Informed, an evidence-based, Head Start-aligned trauma-informed family engagement curriculum.

“The Parent Gauge and Ready4K Trauma-Informed partnership is the only early learning solution to seamlessly integrate family engagement assessment with curriculum,” said National Head Start Association Executive Director Yasmina Vinci. “During a time when more families and educators are navigating the dramatic impacts of childhood trauma, this partnership will no doubt help families overcome obstacles to engaging in the early learning experience.”

Through a series of Parent Gauge-guided conversations  with families, two to three times during the year, Parent Gauge provides helpful feedback to Head Start and Early Head Start programs on families’ strengths and needs. For users of Ready4K Trauma-Informed, this data then powers the creation of a unique combination of protective factors-aligned messages, connections to concrete supports in time of need, and critical information for families.

“Ready4K is very excited to partner with Parent Gauge. Together, we are leveraging the power of data and relationships to tailor and deliver trauma-informed activities and local community resources to Head Start and Early Head Start families,” said Dr. Benjamin York, Founder and CEO of ParentPowered and Advisor to the National Center on Parent, Family, and Community Engagement. “This model will help to increase parent involvement and improve children’s readiness for school, classroom behavior, and long-term academic performance. We’re honored to make additional grant funding available to Head Start and Early Head Start programs who participate in this unique new solution, which we believe has catalytic power for serving Head Start families.”
