This course explores the role of data in Head Start and answers two questions: “Why do people care so much about data?” and “What does this have to do with me?”
Data is vital to measuring the impact of Head Start and front line staff play a key role in making sure that data is accurate, timely, and usable. Developed in partnership with the experts at Acorn Evaluation, Data Basics is a three-hour online course designed to help staff understand why they are asked to collect so much data and how critical it is in supporting children and families.
Designed in six 30-minute modules, the course fits into the busy schedule of Head Start professionals. It can be taken at any time and completed over a time period of as long as one month.
