Nick Young

Nick Young has been sharing the joy and enrichment of interactive music and movement with children for over 30 years. Nick began his career as a preschool teacher. After witnessing the social, emotional, and educational benefits of interactive music in early childhood, Nick created The Young Music Company—a mobile music school for preschoolers that brings music into the lives of thousands of children every year. Nick has presented his dynamic music and movement workshops at hundreds of conferences, conventions, and institutions. In 2016, Nick created the PlayMotion Music music and movement curriculum and teacher training program to empower teachers to bring the magic of music and movement into their classrooms.

What learners are saying...

"Even though I was in the classroom for 21 years, I never thought to use music in this way. I'm really excited to show teachers this part and see how they implement it into their music time." - Susan Ogden, Teacher Assistant, Rural Utah Child Development

"Nick shows you how to be that shiny object to take control of the room and make music fun! I brag to all my coworkers about the course." - Nancy Wilson, Early Head Start Teacher, Acelero Learning Clark County

"With a classroom of 17 children, music and movement can sometimes be challenging but through this course, it gives you lots of ideas to help you through that time of your day and understand the importance of music in your classroom." - Angela DeRivera, Teacher, Acelero Learning Monmouth/Middlesex County
