THE OPPORTUNITY

The opportunity to succeed in school and in life, regardless of circumstances at birth, is a core American value. For the past six decades, the Head Start community has embraced the challenge of delivering on that value and changing life trajectories for the nation’s most vulnerable children and families. A strong and sustainable future for Head Start will mean the success of generations of children who may otherwise struggle throughout their lives. Their future success rests on the knowledge, commitment, and collaboration of families, programs, researchers, and policymakers.

NHSA is a unique organization looking to grow intentionally and to find the right person for the right opportunity on our team. If you are looking to be part of an organization that is static, where things are predictable, and challenges are hard to come by, you should not work with us. If you are interested in being a responsible contributor while flexing your curiosities and creativity, keep reading.

We are seeking to hire a Data Products Manager to join us in our support of the Head Start field. They will be primarily responsible for supporting NHSA’s internal and external data products, including NHSA’s proprietary data tool, Parent Gauge. A strong candidate will have good technical and analytical skills, but also creativity and strategic thinking.

Parent Gauge is a web-based application used by Head Start staff to conduct interviews with parents of enrolled children. The Data Products Manager will drive all components of managing and marketing the Parent Gauge product, including consulting with developers on product roadmap and release plans, bug tracking, and backlog development and management; customer support; and product sales and marketing.

In addition to leading the Parent Gauge tool, the Data Products Manager will provide support in meeting the NHSA’s internal data needs. This data work will support NHSA’s advocacy efforts, policy analyses, conferences, and professional development opportunities for the Head Start field, and includes tasks such as creating surveys and running data analyses.
