NHSA Letter to Chairs and Ranking Members of House and Senate Appropriations Committees about FY26 Appropriations

WASHINGTON, D.C. — NHSA sent this letter to the chairs and ranking members of the House and Senate Appropriations Committees highlighting how Head Start programs, staff, and families came together during the recent government shutdown to keep children learning, fed, and supported.
The letter urges Congress to act expeditiously to restore and replenish Head Start by bringing stability to not only Head Start programs, but to the wonderful kids and families – those who are economically disadvantaged, in foster care, experiencing homelessness, navigating life with disabilities, and the children of farm laborers and tribal members – as well.
