Coding Readiness for Head Start – Research Opportunity for Teachers
The National Head Start Association is part of an exciting partnership that has built the first coding readiness curriculum that is tailored to Head Start students. The curriculum provides Head Start students with the foundational skills needed to be successful in computers and computer related fields later on in life.
The partnership, which also includes codeSpark, a respected educational technology company that specializes in teaching coding readiness to young children, and the RAND Corporation, a non-profit research organization, is looking for classrooms to participate in a study that will test the effectiveness of the curriculum. All teachers and classrooms in the study will be compensated for their time and classrooms chosen to teach the curriculum will be provided with professional development.
This webinar will provide more information on the details of the study and will be an opportunity for interested Head Start centers to ask questions.
