Spanish Version of Tuning Up Circle Time: How Musical Play Boosts Learning and Connection Program

Description: This entire program will be complete in Spanish. Circle time—a safe, focused space for children to learn and interact in a group setting—is nothing new. So, how do we keep it from getting old and fine-tune it as a model for healthy social behavior? Leaning into the rich history of making music in the round and dancing in circle formation is key to cementing developmental milestones in this important early childhood setting. This workshop focuses on how to boost social awareness and connection through joyful musical circle time experiences, including morning rituals, dance breaks, and story time.

Learning Objectives: As a result of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Explain the science behind why circle time—specifically musical circle time—is beneficial to the social-emotional development of children.
  • Incorporate music more intentionally into movement-based brain breaks and gathering rituals.
  • Scaffold teaching of music-based activities to lead with confidence and enhance learning.

Price:

  • Regular Rate: $75
  • NHSA Member Rate: $50
