Empowering High School Students for Careers in Early Childhood Education

Earning a CDA® credential demonstrates educators’ knowledge, skills, and abilities in the early childhood education field as well as their commitment to professional development. To help build a strong pipeline of early childhood professionals throughout the country, The Academy at NHSA has created a special curriculum just for high school students. Named an Apex Award winner for 2024 by Training Magazine, this CDA curriculum is designed to expose students to early childhood education through a Head Start lens. Head Start is the only federal to local program in the U.S. and has been providing support for our nation’s most vulnerable children and their families since 1965.
