Neonatologists Dr. Stephen Patrick and Dr. Miska Terplan join Early Head Start leaders to talk about the unique needs of pregnant women, new moms, and newborns. Dr. Patrick is associate professor of pediatrics and Health Policy Director Center for Child Health Policy at Vanderbilt University. Dr. Terplan is a senior physician research scientist at Friends Research Institute in Baltimore, Maryland. Both have made great strides in working with pregnant women with substance use disorders and value the bonding between mother and child.
