The Academy is designed to expand and sharpen your skills through self-paced, on-demand content as well as live online programs taught by leaders in early childhood development and education. It is open to all early childhood professionals with a desire to expand their skills and advance their careers. The Academy’s learners include: teachers, assistant teachers, coaches, health service workers, family service workers, custodians, nutrition staff, transportation staff, office staff, management, and leadership. The Academy at NHSA even has courses for parents and Policy Council and Governing Board members!
Yes, supervisors can register multiple staff members for courses at The Academy. Please notify your staff what they are registered for and note they will not be able to begin until payment is complete. Paying by credit card is immediate; paying by PO will delay course access.

If you have started a course or passed the 24-hour cancellation period, you may not transfer to another course. If you have not started the course, you may transfer the course to another staff member. You can contact the Help Desk here.
The Academy does not currently provide CEU credit; however, we are working towards our CEU certification.

The Academy is committed to serving all Head Start staff in an online educational environment that is universally accessible to all students. Courses are built in Articulate’s Rise360, and the platform’s accessibility is continuously being reviewed and improved. Additionally, staff at The Academy embed open captions on all course videos and transcripts are available upon request.

Certificates are under the “Transcript” tab. Scroll down to see all transcripts available for download.
If you did not complete all components of the course, your transcript will show the course as “in progress.” Once you have completed the course, your certificate will appear at the bottom of your transcript.
Yes. To review a course or certain sections of a course: open the course and select the module you would like to review. All material, assessments, and activities can be viewed multiple times without impacting the completion status.
Academy learners have permanent access to their certificates of completion through their Accredible Digital Portfolio. All certificates awarded by the Academy at NHSA are housed within the Accredible system, including expired certificates, for seven years. Learner transcripts are also available in Accredible to provide a complete picture of all CEUs and Certificates achieved by the learner.
All learner records maintained by The Academy at NHSA, including but not limited to personal information, enrollment data, assessment results, certificates, and transcripts. Learners have the right to access their own records upon request. Learner information will not be released to third parties without explicit written consent from the learner, except where required by law
